22 years ago on this date: Since it was Good Friday, the courthouse was closed, so my poet & I tied the knot in a park. And then there was work to be done--and love. These things are still true.

I was voice-to-texting a friend who will be housebound for the next couple of weeks with words of comfort, suggesting he look at this time as a "forced writing retreat"--but it came out "forest riding retreat." Which is better, honestly.
