There are a handful of republican senators and house members who could help put a stop to this all if they can be persuaded to stand on the right side of history with democrats. We would no longer have to wait for elections to take action. This is the most urgent task for Congress right now!

I wonder what it would be like to welcome and protect and give a measure of grace to republicans who decide they just can’t goose step anymore. They need a place to land and their party isn’t giving it to them. We need them too, so we can fight the fascism. And I’m plenty lefty myself, saying that.

I think it was just a tool of psychological manipulation - maybe even psyops. What is an issue that can get a lot of people extremely worked up and activated? Let’s use that.

I’m thinking costumes and music, like a big, fun Halloween parade, but about democracy. Would be pretty hard for them to crack down on that.
