One more interesting thing I noticed is that the technique using AAV9-SM22α-shX or AAV9-SM22a-gene for in vivo knockdown or over expression specifically in SMCs is almost exclusively from labs in China. We might need to validate this in vivo delivery tool

Actually mir15/16 can inhibit YAP1, thereby reducing cell proliferation. Not sure whether YAP1 is upregulated in MiR 15/16 KO and is functionally involved in these settings as a down-stream target of miR15/16. Check out our publication in ATVB.
