Song Sparrow and Fox Sparrow are difficult to tell apart, but I too believe it is a Fox Sparrow (Sooty subspecies) owing to its washed out face, darker tones, relaxed tail, and puffed out body. In contrast, Song Sparrows have a pronounced Supercilium (eye line) and cocked tailed when perched.
