Maybe Marcel saw the film ELF and is just imitating Buddy? >^..^<
Or did he see that ancient viral video of Kiefer Sutherland?

What a lovely pic! >^..^<
But hold on a minute, "cutest couple"? No way, not when any *two* cats automatically make a cuter couple.

Astonishing that it's actually front wheel drive

(Possibly the greatest April Fools joke of all time, especially since it was a joke and not a prank which can all too often backfire and/or be kind of mean-spirited, all the more reason to appreciate this particular joke)

Such a great picture >^..^<
One wonders if she was a gardener working for the Cat Delivery System and had just picked and pocketed the result of her hard work toilling in the soil, probably in the shade of the spaghetti trees of southern Switzerland.

After we finished sweet Buddy's Rx treatments he still had bad vision in that eye but it never bothered him. His bad eye usually looked like that in that pic of the fairy puff but in certain lighting it would look completely normal. Go figure... He was completely unfazed by his bad vision >^. ^<

Utterly adorable!! >^..^<
Yeah, not easy to tell about the eyes. My late cat, Buddy, had a viral infection in one eye as a kitten, hence being the last of his litter to be adopted at the shelter (we asked for a cat most in need of adoption & they suggested him; it worked out since we hit it off) 1/

Ha, yeah, should've said 'influence' instead of 'impact' just so I could be even sillier about Hays censoring the 'E' and said "and th shortnd nam is just an xampl of his influnc."
December 14, 2025 at 4:25 PM
Mighty relatable, lol. Yeah, the brain's awfully confounding!!
One way to remember it is to think of it like Hays censored the 'E' (for 'explicit' or...'excellence') and the shortened name is just an example of his impact.

How smol?

Yes.

Such a sweet pic!
One can tell Daddy was a real cat guy by the way he's holding not one but *two* cats while wearing such a dapper suit with nary a concern for claw or shedding hair from said cats. That tie was likely pulled askew by either Pinky or Billy but Daddy doesn't look too bothered >^..^<

Such a lovely pic >^..^<
Unsent? Ha, yeah, whoever bought the postcard couldn't bear to part with it, understandably so, and probably had it pinned to their wall.
December 10, 2025 at 9:43 PM
Utterly cute if not exactly hygienic, lol >^..^<
Thank goodness there's not one smidgen of carpeting in sight. Yeah, IYKYK.
All that tilework is lovely!

Such a lovely picture! >^..^<
Does the physical print of the picture seem like a studio portrait (curious about the background, esp. with the shadow of the tree) or a snapshot? If the former, possibly the chair was custom-made or ordered for the studio... Maybe check a Sears catalog of that era?

One would like to think that if they named the cat "Spooky the Tuff Little Ghost" they always used the full name when calling the cat. Especially when complimenting the cat: "Who's the cutest/smartest/most beautiful/most handsome? Spooky the Tuff Little Ghost, that's who!"
December 9, 2025 at 12:54 AM
Mighty adorable >^..^<
Given the time period one wonders if they bestowed that little ghost kitty with a name from the Harvey comics & cartoons like, say, Casper the Friendly Ghost or Spooky the Tuff Little Ghost.

Quite possible that your cat knew the work you'd put into it and he understood so he was showing his appreciation by sitting on it >^..^<
December 6, 2025 at 5:09 PM
Both that tree skirt and the whole scene are lovely!! Kudos!
Wondering, though, if you have cats. I know several if indeed not *all* of my 7 cats would make short work of the tree skirt, lol.
>^..^<

Behold Zooey & Wednesday, two of the concurrent title holders >^..^<
For some reason only 2 of my 7 cats are female; all 7 came to my house by way of the Cat Distribution System where none actually came from shelters, hence my donating to shelters whenever possible to compensate & just to help out.
December 6, 2025 at 3:41 PM
Dunno, judging by the pic in your next post I'd say she still holds the title; besides, *all* cats are the world's most beautiful >^..^<
Like, I'll say to one of my 7 cats "squee, you're the world's cutest cat" & then walk into the kitchen & say the exact same thing to the cat sitting on the table.
December 6, 2025 at 3:00 PM
This is how Wednesday often sits in the sunlight. When she first started doing that I thought she was sitting like that so she could groom herself but this is actually how she just likes to sit in the sunlight, very much a classic case of suns out tums out >^..^<
December 6, 2025 at 12:38 AM
One wonders if the photograph is perhaps faded so it doesn't show that the cat is actually sitting in some sunlight? If so, then it's a case of...
