I ditched VDH years ago because I just argued against him, but there is no separate book for Ancient Greek and then Roman warfare. Sidebottom is very good but classical warfare is treated together

Is there an English translation of the internal Japanese debates on the critical strategic issues, esp the atomic bomb reaction? I'm supposed to teach a Pacific War class next year and would prefer to get it right. And I doubt I have the time to read it in Japanese

The real money savings would be in replacing administrators with AI. If we replaced our entire upper administration we would have essentially the same performance and responsiveness for a fraction of the cost

I was just at a meeting for the Vanderbilt University Institute for National Security Studies where they were talking about establishing our "brand." I seriously regret not immediately walking out at that point.

A very good piece. I can't speak to the totality of how strategy is taught in PME, but I don't expect to fail in the ways explained when I teach the history of strategic thought this fall at Vanderbilt.
