The first time I see Mulan Paddock translated from 木兰围场 (Mulan Weichang Manchu Mongolian Autonomous County Manchu:ᠸᡝᡳ ᠴᠠᠩ ᡥᡳᠶᠠᠨ Mongolian:ᠸᠧᠢ ᠴᠠᠩ ᠰᠢᠶᠠᠨ), my hometown.

I wonder peoples thoughts on these two different types of translation in English word and Chinese Pinyin.

The Putuo Zongcheng Temple
(also known as Little Potala Palace).
‘普陀宗乘’ PǔTuóZōngChéng Tibetan: གྲུ་འཛིན་་་བསྟན་པའི་རྩ་བའི་ལྷ་ཁང༌། is the Chinese translation of Tibetan word ‘Potala’.

From the gate you would never guess what you are going to see on top of the mountain.

Saw this linguistic map of alternative terms for the free 'scraps' you get from a chippy (leftover pieces of fried batter) on Reddit (Credit: The_Language_Archive). Quite curious about more regional corrections and suggestions.

I’d love some haddock and chips with curry sauce and some scraps now.

Stunning view of dawn and stars from the tiny hamlet where I was born. Haven't experienced these for the past 20 years, invoking both familiar and unfamiliar emotions.

Still can't believe I lost my grandpa forever. He will be witnessing this beauty from where he's resting now

An encounter of history: Three steles in four languages - Manchu, Mongolian, Tibetan, and Chinese - recorded how the Potala Palace Chengde was planned to be constructed in 1767 and how the Torghut migrated back to Dzungaria and western Mongolia under the Qing government in 1771.
