My wife uses harm reduction at work. It makes sense. Sometimes it means something very specific: on this sticker a friend has on a shelf, it's referring to drug use. I absolutely love the sticker, but harm reduction doesn't have to refer just to drug use. You can use the principle everywhere. 🥰

ISTG. You don't buy in, & of course it doesn't work b/c you haven't bought in. You buy in, & maybe it works, maybe it doesn't. You use a good, recently updated browser, you jump a couple hoops, find the login page, log in w/a longstanding account, &… Sigh. #web #tech #FedEx #errors
Website error via Apache & ghod knows what else. It's a Status: 500 message from FedEx for a logged-in user through a web browser. Everyone is supposed to be able to set & use cookies. The upshot is I can't track a package with a legit tracking ID. Not only does no one make sure this shit works; no one cares. I'm not transcribing this set of error messages directly because that's a pain in the ass & would probably use too many characters. Also, I have other shit to do. #web #tech #FedEx #errors

I don't have a decent picture of Gomer, but this was Otto, taken in about 2007 or 2008. As you can probably tell, he's not all dachshund, but ¯⁠\⁠_⁠(⁠ツ⁠)⁠_⁠/⁠¯ He wasn't actually my dog, but I housesat for 2+ years for someone who went to Africa & had me take care of her 3 buddehs. 🥰

BTW, I say mongrel deliberately: mixed breed dogs tend to live about a year longer than "pure bred" dogs, & tend not to have the heritable problems pure bred dogs have. Our current dog is part Australian Cattle Dog, part who knows, & part wonderful. 🥰 #BusterP

This probably isn't what Matt meant, but he draws & I don't, so… how about some snow in my back yard, rendered in black and white? This was from January 2018. The photo looks a little blue from processing — almost the color of an old black and white TV.

A flood light is also pointed almost directly at the camera, but the rails on a set of wooden steps to the second floor of my house block direct light. To the left, the second story of another house is seen above the top of a gapless wooden fence. Some wheeled plastic trash bins are against the fence. A couple of plastic bins are in the foreground, underneath a small landing where the steps turn 90 degrees to the left while going up. What sky is visible shows uniform gray. Snow coats most horizontal surfaces, but is spotty near the first landing & steps around it, so some grass shows.
