[3/4] The policy brings gender-responsive practices into media organizations nationwide, including:

🔹 Minimum 35% women’s representation at all levels
🔹 Creation of internal gender committees
🔹 Anti-sexual harassment frameworks
🔹 Mandatory gender training for all staff

[2/4] The National Editors’ Forum (NEF), with support from JHR, has officially adopted the 2021 Gender Policy developed by the Female Journalists Network (FJN) -- a landmark step toward safer, more inclusive newsrooms.

The Fellowship provides:

🔹 A $4,900 monthly stipend from September–April
🔹 Payment of all University of Toronto fees
🔹 Round-trip economy airfare to and from Toronto
🔹Travel expenses for organized program trips

This is an opportunity for one journalist from sub-Saharan Africa or the Middle East to spend a year of academic study at the University of Toronto.

Fellows may enrol in any undergraduate or graduate courses at UoT and take part in an extra-curricular seminar series.
