The good thing is that I now have some building blocks that I can expand upon later, keeping things consistent and familiar for users. In the meantime, I have condensed what we think will be one of the most common cases for picker components inside the app #BuildInPublic

And yes, we are using Storybook, that's one of the things that we settled on as best practices we want to apply 🙌

Here is one of the components, I have to confess I'm not super happy with the designs but overall I think the priority is to ship an MVP version and then worry about improving the presentation

I decided to go the route of creating components first to try to create the base of our design system, probably in real life I would not do that because in reality, shipping screens get the money coming but I prefer doing this when I'm on my own

I totally forgot I was going to post some things about our progress here, so let's start now. We bought designs (yes, none of us are designers, neither good taste to create them ourselves) and settled on some basic things we want to apply initially as best practices

We will try to apply as much as we can of best practices to our knowledge and I will make the effort for documenting the process here

Don't want to dream too much but hopefully it can be something that others can find useful and/or expand given it will be open source

Another project to a long list I assume, but one with a huge impact for sure, many devs will appreciate that kind of resource

Not a breeze but it was smooth for a first time. Leaving early and get prepared to give activities to the little one was key to success
