I'm honestly surprised by your bad luck with ISPs. Up here we basically have two to choose from, so it's rare to get a good deal. I had always heard down south you get faster for less

Exact opposite experience of me this week.
Was told my plan was no longer being offered so they bumped me up to 2G for and cut my bill by $10 a month.

I've been working with it to act as a tutor while I break my work into smaller chunks.
Each time I complete a task I have it do a code review, make me fix the mistakes, complete a test on what was wrong, and write a blog post of what I did before letting me go onto the next chunk
Keeps me focused!

My garage door opener requires an embedded signal from the button inside the garage for "security." The button that you have to get past the door to access
It's pretty obvious that they're trying to prevent people from using an Pi and instead buy their subscribers.

The way the teams build comradery as they work to complete the project & take pride in its success reminds me of my time on a paving crew

It's also not much different that the old trick of following different tutorials to do the same project different ways and contrasting them.
Can also be fun to use it to build something and see how I can break it.
