Luxflakes once again showing the strength of his Christian values.

Our Govt are a bunch of cowards. The decision to not recognise Palestinian statehood is wrong.

Pretty sure that neurotypical isn’t as typical as currently assumed.

I'm surprised at how few issues I can find with the proposed replacement to the Holidays Act. Having spent 3 long years working in a remedition/rectification project I know how awful the existing legislation is.
Pro rated sick leave = bad. Niggling concern re commissions but need to think further.

The face of a dog who would like you to know that depriving her of toast is the worst.
She loves toast.

What??!! Ncuti Gatwa has ended his tenure as the Doctor and I’ve only just discovered him!
But Billie Piper is a fascinating choice. Is she Rose, Bad Wolf or something else? Will she have memories from earlier times in the Tardis????
I’m loving rediscovering and geeking out over Doctor Who.

Significant parental milestone reached last night. My 10 year old had his first sleepover at a friend’s place. My first full night “off” in 10 years.

Finally started watching the new Doctor and Ncuti Gatwa is absolutely brilliant!

Having worked in front line customer support roles I know better than to take out frustrations with company processes on the poor person at the other end of the call. But, dear god, it's hard sometimes.

imo David Seymour doesn't have (m)any 'worthwhile ideas' so I'd like to completely disregard what he says. Unfortunately, his dangerous ideas and influence will profoundly, negatively affect this country so I have to take note of what he spouts.

Dealing with WINZ can be really hard. I am, however, happy to report that I just had a very good & helpful phone appointment with a case manager.

Waiting for an asd assessment appt for my son and reading the scary things RFK Jr is coming out with in the US is very upsetting. I hope we don’t see the same rhetoric here but I’m not confident we won’t.

Off to see A Minecraft Movie with my son and a few hundred others from his school.

Why is 15% the magic number for proportion of workforce to lay off? Nat et al used it as a target for public service reduction now echoed under drumpf.

It’s boob squashing day! Uncomfortable as anything but necessary to have regular breast checks.

The current, tired arguments blaming parents for not being able to afford “marmite sandwiches and a piece of fruit” for their children’s lunches piss me off.
Poverty is not a choice. It is never a choice. It just happens for a million reasons and it’s really hard to get out of.

Today’s seasonal fruit warning comes to you from my (now) very clean dryer…
Always check wet linen for purple peaches before putting them on to dry.

While campaigning Luxon kept going on about how NZ needs to be ambitious. Increasing mining and tourist numbers doesn't exactly scream ambition.

I escaped reality and played a lot of minecraft this afternoon. Unfortunately I forgot to turn off various app alerts so it wasn't complete blissful ignorance.

THIS. Proposed cuts would literally reduce our central maternity workforce from six (used to be *15*) to ONE. 60000 births a year, desperate shortages in clinical staff who are having to pick up loads of admin and quality “back room” work. One person can’t be the hub of the wheel.

Submission on the treaty principles bill done. I'd been putting it off as I thought it would be really difficult but it was super easy.
Now to do the rest

It's almost as if it's a really hard problem to solve and there is a reason why remediation and rectification for employees who do not work 9-5 jobs takes a looong time and costs a lot!
Government goes back to drawing board on Holidays Act
Thousands of employers have had to pay, or are still arranging to pay, billions of dollars in back pay due to problems with applying a law for years.

If the new ferries end up being rail enabled, will some of the savings come from the work already done to the terminals under the iRex programme?
