Nepenthes ventricosa black/purple peristome, pics from 12 years ago.

At that time I was still very nooby with Nepenthes and gave them questionable care to say the least. Nevertheless this Nep did exceptionally well outdoors and even braved our colder winters. It even gave me several basals

The Nepenthes veitchii x ventricosa is opening!

It's just a lot more exciting than usual since this pitcher is so big and vibrant compared to the previous ones.

The Nepenthes veitchii x ventricosa again.

I'm just having a lot of fun watching this pitcher getting fatter and fatter every day. It already looks like it's bigger than all of the previous pitchers on the plant, and I hope it doesn't open any time soon. Just keep growing!

Nepenthes naga x truncata (C), CAR-0178.

First pic taken today, the other exactly a week ago. Quite a big difference in how much darker it is now.

This one's definitely a slow but steady grower too compared to the other Neps in my collection.

Don't worry, it was only under those lights for a second while I took these pictures.

My Nepenthes veitchii x ventricosa has gone through a pretty explosive growth spurt since I last observed it closely in late October. It now has at least 2 basals and main stem is pumping out pitchers everywhere.

Nepenthes truncata (JB x Pasian Red) CAR-0205.

Second pic is from mid-November, first is from early September, about 2 weeks after it arrived from Carnivero .

I think these pictures speak for themselves. This Truncata is super vigorous and is getting huge! Reminds me of a big red rocket. 🚀

Nepenthes albomarginata BE-3004.

Of all the various albos, I actually like the green variant the most. Red is nice but I already have a ton of reddish Neps. And I might consider adding a black albo to my collection someday.

Heliamphora minor var pilosa x macdonaldae AW 12.

Nothing much to say other than I think it's growing real well and it has lovely colors.
December 5, 2025 at 3:38 AM
Nepenthes sibuyanensis x (veitchii x lowii) BE-4614.

My BE-3986 is very neon pink with a yellow and lightly striped peristome, whereas BE-4614 is very rust red/orange with a vividly striped peristome.
December 4, 2025 at 4:56 AM
N. sibuyanensis x (veitchii x lowii) BE-3986 on the left, BE-4614 on the right.

CalCarn accidentally sent BE-3986 when I ordered BE-4614, but they quickly fixed the situation and rushed the BE-4614 over in record time, free of charge! 💯 Pic taken on 10/31/25, just 6 days after BE-3986 arrived.

Nepenthes veitchii ("Big Mama" x "Pink Candy Cane"), CAR-0001.

Pics taken around 10/14/25. Continues to grow larger with every new leaf, and striping is becoming more prominent.

N. sibuyanensis x (veitchii x lowii) BE-3986.

Super uber pink pitchers that glow in the sunlight. Probably the pinkest Nep that I have atm. Really surprising considering I didn't actually purchase this and bought BE-4614 instead, but was sent the wrong plant.

Nepenthes hamata (katopasa) x edwardsiana clone 4 from Florae. First pic taken on 10/8/25, second taken today. They're the largest pitchers this plant has produced so far.
November 4, 2025 at 3:25 AM
The Nepenthes veitchii x ventricosa pitcher that opened about 3 weeks ago has now matured quite a bit. The peristome is now a rich golden color, with very faint red striping throughout.
October 31, 2025 at 11:54 PM
Darlingtonia californica that arrived last Saturday, pic taken today.

I've been avoiding them for all these years until now due to their tricky reputation.

Looks like it may be dormant atm. I love how it came already looking like a nest full of tiny cobras. And the one weirdly opaque pitcher. 🤍
October 30, 2025 at 4:46 AM
Unknown Nepenthes from Florae. Tag says: Female is either (globosa x Kuchingensis) or (globosa x rafflesiana) red. Male is open pollinated.

I love mystery Neps and this is one of the more vigorous Neps in my collection. It's looking better and bigger with every new pitcher.
October 25, 2025 at 1:41 AM
Nepenthes veitchii Pa'umor x edwardsiana, clone 9 from Florae.

First pic from today. Latter two from 9/6.

Growing at a steady pace. No pitchers have any striping yet. The newest pitcher that opened does seem to have some faint marks on the peristome, but they might just be little blemishes.
October 16, 2025 at 1:23 AM
Sarracenia leucophylla AF on 10/4/25.

These Sarracenia are going into dormancy soon and I just cleaned them up a bit for their impending nap.

This one had pretty decent growth over the summer, and I'm expecting great things from it next spring.
October 14, 2025 at 1:58 AM
Heliamphora minor var pilosa x macdonaldae AW 12.

One of the three Helis I got recently from dangerlettuce. First two pics are from today, third pic is from the day it arrived on 10/3/25.

A new pitcher opened today. I love how lollipop-like the nectar spoon is.
October 13, 2025 at 12:48 AM
New Nepenthes veitchii x ventricosa pitcher that opened a few days ago next to a few helis.
October 11, 2025 at 1:28 AM
Nepenthes veitchii ("Big Mama" x "Pink Candy Cane"), CAR-0001.

Another new pitcher that opened around 9/10/25. Getting consistent leaf/pitcher jumps along with more prominent stripes with every new pitcher.
October 10, 2025 at 3:47 AM
Nepenthes hamata (katopasa) x edwardsiana clone 4 from Florae when it arrived on 8/22/25. My first plant from Florae and they're quite possibly my favorite Nep seller. The quality of their plants is unmatched imo.

The Nep itself has been growing very vigorously! Consistent leaf/pitcher jumps.
October 9, 2025 at 1:19 AM
Decided to try out adding helis to my collection of carnivorous plants.

This is perhaps the most picturesque and favorite of the three helis I got from dangerlettuce so far: Heliamphora heterodoxa x minor "Cherry Top".

Very satisfied with the quality of the plants + shipping.

Long story short, this Nepenthes St. Gaya went through a crazy acclimation period but has finally settled and is really starting to flourish.
