Does anyone know why health is 9% higher in the UK? Seems odd given the NHS is free at the point of service. I wonder what is included. There aren't many details in the link explaining either the data or how this is calculated.
We mutter a lot about housing in the UK. BUT IT'S 44% MORE EXPENSIVE THAN THE OECD AVERAGE.

I’m on the job market this year! My #EconJMP explores how to design incentives for people with limited understanding of the causal effects of their actions. I consider the implications of a form of bounded rationality I call 'narrow inference' in a principal-agent screening model. (1/15)

#econjmp How do less affluent students respond to student finance induced increases in cost?

🎓Move to full loan policy: ⬇️ enrolment rates of eligible pupils
⚙️Effect driven by ⬆️ costs but also heightened concerns with debt 💰
⚠️Overall: ⬇️teacher supply + narrowed access to university
