They don't really care what happens on college campuses. They want their supporters to think something terrible is happening on college campuses. It's about the distraction and the outrage.

I wish I knew. I just know that my Trumpy friends make the same kind of statements, but we can talk ourselves out of it, or through it. Some have checked out, but most just want to find a way to make it work. Just like me.

I totally agree about the kids.

For all of the wisdom and knowledge of history, the forces of good have never had the sustained leadership to stop these obviously bad actors. Repeating this history does nothing. Understanding the present is more useful.

Respect the office not the person (at minimum).
