Could we please all agree that nothing created by generative AI is good and stop posting it. And maybe heap a bit of hate on the prick who felt it was worth ruining a kids water supply for a laugh. (I know it wasn't you Adam)

AI has good use cases in R&D and sciences, but this is a waste.

Wouldn't need risk pools if we didn't have to pay the overhead of insurance companies. All that saved money would cover the increased risk.

Maybe he had the mental capacity of a 12 year old and actually liked older women?

Schumer was a genius (for listening to Pelosi, we know he is more of a "go fish" guy than a chess guy).

I don't like giving Schumer any credit, but maybe Pelosi did the math and was advising him to throw in the towel on the shutdown fight and deal the killing blow to Trump himself. He picked safe Dems to vote to reopen just in case the gambit fails.

We may look back and say... 3/4

another signature on the discharge petition to bring it to a vote. As it is, the vote will only be 10 days before the GOP seats another congress person. Had we cut it much closer, MJ may have been able to play games and not called the house into session before the TN-7 election.

Ahh, so she switched parties and is padding her resume for a job in the Trump Administration? Probably shoulda done that before January, things aren't looking too good for them these days.

"I vote with my party 91% of the time". I'm pretty sure there are a few Dems who have a better record of voting with the GOP than that.

Who dropped a "Oh Jesus Christ" at 52 seconds. They sounded like they disagree with Neguse?

MJ may not bring it to the floor. He has to bring the house in session to do it and that means the final signature for the Epstein release.

I read this:

Zoom out: After Perez's death, the City Council expanded a program that sends mental health professionals and paramedics alongside police officers to some 911 calls.

Everyone knows this was a preventable death and that these officers handled the situation wrong.
Former San Antonio police officers found not guilty in death of Melissa Perez
A jury deliberated for 90 minutes before reaching their verdicts.

I believe that juries and our laws favor police. I do feel that perhaps murder is not the right charge; juries cannot stomach a guilty verdict against officers on the job. But this was gross negligence resulting in death; there are plenty of jobs where a similar situation would get murder.
November 11, 2025 at 3:57 AM
The result makes me suspicious. The only justification I have seen for shooting was that she attacked officers with a hammer, from behind a glass door, after those officers had escalated the situation by sneaking around to a back patio in an attempt to end the situation via force.
November 11, 2025 at 3:45 AM
I don't care about facts? I am asking you for just one fact. Obviously I care about facts.

And yes, everyone dies... but that is a messed up justification for the police murdering a woman in an obvious state of mental confusion.

An officer could have just sat with her until she calmed down.

Most panels are rated to continue to produce at least 80% as effective as new for decades of operation.
November 11, 2025 at 3:19 AM
I think you have a fundamental misunderstanding of how solar panels work. They don't wear out or fill up or anything where you would need to rotate in fresh panels. As long as the sun is hitting them, they are generating.

What you're suggesting would be like rotating between sailboats... why?
November 11, 2025 at 3:14 AM
Is that your only comeback? I have asked twice now for one fact that justifies the death of this woman. Just one.

I don't need to read this article, it's been covered all over the place, and there was never any doubt that the officers handled the situation wrong. Their own chief said so.
November 11, 2025 at 3:06 AM
I ask for one fact that justifies her death and you assume I don't know anything about the case?

What they did is no different than cops that step in front of a moving car to justify shooting the driver.

They put themselves at unnecessary risk and a woman in need of help died as a result.
November 11, 2025 at 2:48 AM
Yeah, duh. I can almost guarantee he orchestrated the whole thing.

Mamdani's win has freaked out the people that own him, and he will be caucusing with the GOP before long. In the meantime, he will do everything he can to maintain the status quo, regardless of what the party wants.

"I do a lot of bonuses for people.". Wait, what? Who exactly, and how much? Is he following federal law, or just directing his people to make it happen, legal or not?
November 11, 2025 at 1:10 AM
Give me one fact that will convince me that this woman's death serves the public good. She was alone in the house, the only person she was at risk of hurting was herself.

This was the result of training that says that all situations should be managed via authority, and if necessary, force.

I do wonder if some of those negotiating know that what is in Epstein files will make it all moot anyway? Potentially even impacting lawmakers and moving the power in the House and/or Senate? So this will force that issue within days of reopening.
