For a year recently being touted as a perfect music year, there sure are a lot of crummy songs on this chart.

Well, I did see Phineas and Ferb: Star Wars, but after way more thought than the question deserved, I decided that doesn't count. Even if it was a Disney prduction, it was a parody, not a spin-off. (Also: Worst. Phineas and Ferb. Ever.)

What perfect album came out the year you turned 16?

Two-plus hours of Mozart's greatest hits performed by a world-class orchestra, what's better than that?

This inspired me to look for this old tweet, and I realize now that the actual set-up for David Bowie's appearance in Bing Crosby's Merrie Olde Christmas was stranger and more contrived than my version.

23rd anniversary of the death of U.S. Sen. Paul Wellstone, whom I worked for in his DC office in the mid-90s. A great guy, one of the best bosses I ever had.

To that point, the actual U.S. Army was at UW-Madison today, using a giant Plinko game to attract new recruits.

Or constructing a 30-foot tall Plinko tower in Madison, Wisconsin. Dozens of uniformed Army soldiers were on hand to drop footballs down the sides of the tower for people to try to catch at the bottom, hand out swag, and recruit new enlistees.

I was married but I’m not married any more. Women don’t like the vehicle.

No money to legally pay the troops but plenty to construct a 30-foot tall Plinko game at @uwmadison.bsky.social

I just realized Spotify doesn't know how alphabetization works. "In the Midnight Hour" and "In the Street" should come before "Inside Out," and "I Saw Her Again," "I Saw Her Standing There," and "I Saw the Light" should come before all of the others.

[nerd] this is actually Matrix, a synthetic lifeform created by a heroic version of Lex Luthor from a pocket universe, not Kara Zor-El. Boy, I really hope someone got fired for that blunder. [/nerd]
