A mask similar to this one inspired the Seattle Seahawks logo

I live about 1.5 miles from Costco headquarters. Deal with employees nearly every day. Never heard a complaint. Most are very loyal. Also headquarters are a park.

14,400' natives also call her Tahoma. Can be seen from 100 miles away. Some days in Seattle she looks painted on the horizon. When clearly visible we say "the mountain is out"

My issue is taxis, rideshare and delivery should be exempt. Those folks already pay a fee to drive in the city. Companies pay as little as they can get away with under the assumption that tips will make up the difference. Most riders don't tip.

Well Stella if you can handle overcast skies for 6 months you'll probably like Seattle. Lots of gamers out here. Also spectacular summers.

If you do I would suggest you visit the Museum of Flight and/or the Boeing factory in Everett. I bet you'd enjoy them.

If you ever come to Seattle I recommend a visit to Smith Tower. IMO as good as the Space Needle with different perspective. And cheaper. Bonus Pioneer Square is cool also. 😉 But that's another story.

Ivar Haglund was a folk singer who established Seattle's 1st aquarium along with a fish and chips stand. He had many hijinks in his life. Once owned Smith tower that until at least the 50's was the tallest building west of the Mississippi. His bio is a fun read.

John Pike was the original architect for the Washington territorial university. Now known as The University of Washington. Pike Place is at the foot of Pike Street named for him. 😊

Pike Place 1909. 2 years after being established.

Also in most states aren't districts supposed to be "compact" rather than meandering or split? Seems like both situations would be a no go in the constitution, vra and state law? I'll take a closer look at the maps.
November 19, 2025 at 12:39 AM
Do you happen to know what the law has to say about that. What are the situations that would allow a mid decade redistricting?

They do more. Too much to list but 2 that I like are the drive up vaccine at Lk Samm State park in 2020 and little busses, little cities transit system in rural king county.

Beyond cultural and environmental contributions. The Snoqualmie Tribe alone has done more to support local communities than most businesses in the county. I have great respect.
