Ah, I miss seeing those yellow Piper Cubs flying around Lock Haven PA (old home of Piper). Did not know about Carbon Cubs till just now.

Pippin, our cocker spaniel, lived most of his long life blind. He navigated the house and yard beautifully and was great at fetch so long as the ball bounced at least once. His was a happy life and he had a dedicated seeing-eye human on his walks.

My grandmother was famous for pinching off african violet leaves to start new plants. I've always thought of this as a family tradition.
