“Using” words shouldn’t have to mean “endorsing” the concepts the words describe. I don’t see how you can function in society without using these words. Yet, the world isn’t so simple. “Defining” is the key. And, the government does not control the vocabulary of the people. Lord help us.
Their silencing must be our speaking. Words to encourage in our homes, institutions, and neighborhoods.

A lot to distill and synthesize here, but the connection of literature to life and humanity in our age is really, really important. Trying to write about it!

The plan is transparent.
