We saw the Northern Lights from a church cemetery just north of Grand Rapids. Kind of eerie with coyotes howling in the distance. Totally awesome!

We were just in the Black Forest last week stopped at Breisach. Took a bus through Freiburg and hiked through a beautiful part of the Black Forest. Saw those wildflowers and some younger oaks but more Sycamore trees. I looked for Bert’s relatives. Didn’t see any. However, lots of Cuckoo Clocks!

I know the feeling. My daughter got her MFA in ceramics from the School at the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC)

I don’t know. It would seriously affect the pitching rotation if you had to also consider their ability to get on base. This guy had a .172 lifetime batting average. Still fun to watch him bat.

Our Springer Spaniel Gus has taken over our empty nest. The kids have moved out and our 15 year old Spaniel Jeff had passed on so we got a puppy. We forgot what Spaniel puppy energy was like! Fortunately he likes some down time once in a while.

I know that prowl! Gus is a funny guy.
