What’s your attachment style? Dismissive- withdrawn, emotionally distant, etc. Avoidant- unworthy, over-analyze, untrusting, etc. Anxious- people pleaser, fear of abandonment, sacrifice own needs, etc. or Secure- safe, supported, available, worthy, etc. Where do you want to be? Get to know you!

Emotions are not solely concepts or thoughts. They are deeply rooted in the idea of who we are, woven together with mind & body. Recognizing this connection can bring insight into our emotional responses-bodily sensations & behaviors. Recognizing them earlier to help with mindfulness & processing.

Kintsugi, the Japanese art fixing broken pottery by mending breakage using lacquer mixed with powdered gold. As a philosophy, it treats breakage & repair as part of the object, rather than something to disguise or hide. Do not let the past define you nor forget it. Grow from it. You are beautiful.

What do you do if awfulizing, catostrophizing, or I can’ts take over? Find a cute pet. Use some humor. Think of other examples. Any way you can challenge that irrational belief. Is that thing always 100% true 100% of the time & provable in a court of law? Now replace the thought with a positive.
