Dunk on him… post documents… waste days of your life arguing about the President’s Conference on Home Building and Home Ownership and New Deal policy.

Fascinating that this is the issue he decided to go popularist on.

Not strictly classified buy I've encountered security restrictions all over records on buildings and infrastructure in DC. Antebellum Washington Aqueduct stuff is the oldest I've seen.

In addition to being a real dude (derogatory), the other major reason working-class Nevadans were skeptical of Francis Newlands was the extensive employment of Chinese (not necessarily immigrant) people in the family businesses.

How conservative were early housing reformers like Lawrence Veiller?

When in 1926, New York State passed a law that gave 20-year exemptions to new co-ops and other limited dividend corporations, he denounced it as a "pernicious" burden on taxpayers.

I really wonder what the NYT thinks Seattle is like if they think Katie Wilson’s persona doesn’t match the city’s.

Even the tech companies there are famously not artsy or flashy.

I guess that's why they call it the "international" building code.
