As a kid I was too poor to get a real pet rock. I had to settle for the little globs of plastic they called “rocks” that I got for a quarter out of bubble gum machine at a Kroger.

My old company moved the goal posts every year. So, one year you might be "exceeds expectations" and the next year you would be "meets expectations." Even if your performance was the same. It's all such BS.
