I do feel bad for the CS agents that get the properly riled up customers. It’s like calling a beekeeper to remove bees after you smashed their hive.

Comcast is just like “they’re nice and pissed off now. Go get em tiger.”

Every year I think Monaco can’t get worse and somehow it does. At least last year was exciting in that Leclerc finally won his home race, but even that was a slow lap snooze fest.

Generally lower*. I should really proof read these.

Yea varies wildly by state. Traveling around the south I’ve seen anywhere from like 2.40-3.00/gal. I feel like South Carolina must have like no state taxes on gas.

Overall it’s been pretty lower than it’s been in a few years by me.

Headline is confusing. Sounds like the state is trying to withhold funding from the district. Federal is siding with the district and trying to overrule the state.

That being said, still confusing, does this admin support or not support states’s rights 😂.

Same. These comments had me googling use cases and now I’m like welp, been missing this.

My first job out of college used an inventory system that was a telnet client TUI. They switched to SAP while I was there at it was a disaster.

Wasn’t nearly as specialized, ruined inventory management for years, took forever for people to switch, ended up heaping more work on “power users”

Great manifesto! Would love to be back in a world filled with intentional geocities pages instead of engagement driven socials.

Great read. Would agree with most of these criticisms. The Miami GP honestly has had some affordable deals for the whole weekend but it’s always announced last minute and hard to plan around.

US coverage on ESPN is awful. It starts broadcasting at race time so no pre-coverage, and is simulcast.

When talking about subscriptions is it subscriptions for the app, or subscriptions for creators a-la twitch or substack, and bsky gets a cut?

I thought that was what I read was a feature of graysky, and I assumed that was their reasoning for snapping its dev up. Premium subs to user content.

With Ridder it felt like please just throw the ball, don’t take that sack and knock us out of FG range.

With Kirk it was like please don’t throw that ball, just take the sack so we can kick the FG.

Dude was just lofting softballs into double/triple coverage today. The 3rd int was insane.

I haven’t switched to it as a primary but it’s very nice to play with. Was using it to mess with copilot. I love how snappy it is to open a repo from your terminal. The launch time is incredible.

We were told this as well. Funny enough, the place you’re told to go to get advice or practice before the baby is born is the local fire department 😂. They’re the “qualified” people.

There were a couple people at the hospital who were allowed but they were not the nurses.

This is a piece of the puzzle, but I think the other issue is that Google is the top advertiser in the web space. If they have the top browser they can give preferential treatment to their own ads and give themself an advantage.

DOJ prob wants to separate the two entities.

Moved all my existing google home stuff to Apple Home with Homebridge because of this conflict. Can’t believe they signed off on releasing the new app with none of the legacy Nest stuff working.
