Seems reasonable to me. I’ve got something similar planned, but no countertop. Just a ton of compact tote storage. I need to do something about PEX on the wall first. Otherwise totes will smash into PEX.

You missed “you know what will fix this? Fairness Doctrine”.

What’s a tariff got to do with retail prices? I was reliably informed all tariffs were paid by foreign countries. So confused…

$4.25/hour, actual minimum wage at the time. If you ever used a wind-up Micro-Go-Round to turn food in the ‘wave, I might have been the guy who put in the rivet into the center plate or stuffed in the spring coil. Depended on the day.

I should make a pulled pork sandwich. I’ve never cooked pork before, but I had a Cuban in Miami and it was awesome.

I spent the morning roasting an entire grocery bag of poblano peppers. Not a clue what I’ll do with them, but the plant went nuts in the waning days of summer and I hate wasting food.

That post is applicable to most any point in time over the past three or so decades.

The main problem with LLM AI is this split between how it’s used and how it’s marketed. There are lots of great real world applications, but the public messaging is centered on AI dead grandpa, replacing all the doctors and how AI will create the warp drive so we can visit Proxima Centauri for Xmas.

There was a jacked up Yugo in Cape Cod years ago that all sorts of people would report sightings. It was some young rich dude who thought it would be funny to build.

He might have meant a PVC flare-up, but that really shouldn’t cause a fall. Just unpleasant as hell.

I’d never heard the details of that story before. That’s absurd, and furthermore, the way she’s talking makes her sound like an idiot. It’s like she’s teaching an intro to naziism for toddlers class.

Um, the Caribbean Sea is not an “easy sail” from Texas. Peaceful, sure, but we’re talking 600 miles at an average of 6 knots at best. Then you go where? That only gets you as far as Cuba.

The difference in definition isn’t the issue, it’s the psychological need of some people for everyone else to “appreciate” the distinction that is distrurbing. Plus, there’s an implicit “it’s not AS bad” overtone. It’s lessening the offense.

Are we not using the word “yeeted” any more?

FIFA is possibly the only organization on earth where Trump could take charge and make it less corrupt and thuggish.

One of those guys also insisted if it’s drawn, it’s not CSAM and all the lawyers were begging him to get help before he ended up in federal prison.

The first time I ran into one of those guys they were adamantly defending something called loliporn. I had to look up the word. Ick.
