It has been the experience of a lifetime to be commissioned by the Metropolitan Museum of Art to write a poem (Now Beacon, Now Sea) for the Friedrich exhibit. I picked the painting Monk by the Sea. Rich & I got to meet the curatorial team at the opening. I’m very grateful.
