No gods, no kings, only trains!
Yeah. Feels like an excuse to break it off with someone you're not that into anyway.

Dying alone seems more and more enticing.

Come on, no one's obligated to read your stuff, especially if you're a dick to them.

Okay, maybe I'm too harsh and the state of the art in producing tech-shattering ideas is to work things out with an LLM set to high temperature while micro-dosing on LSD.

I'll believe it when I see it.

"Unlike others, founders are using AI to think, not just to produce."

Oof.
December 25, 2025 at 1:15 PM
"This will be the primary challenge for AI tool vendors in 2026."

Also the fire hose of VC money sputtering.

Did you know there are no gays in Iran?
December 25, 2025 at 12:25 PM
A game not getting an award because it has AI slop in it does not prevent you from buying it. Why is it so difficult for you to cope with the fact that not everybody loves GenAI as much as you do?

Bullshit artists easy to replace with bullshit machines. News at 11.
December 23, 2025 at 7:18 AM
Nah, not taking the bait. Not today.

"I'm above ideology" - person who definitely isn't above ideology.

Inappropriate development is in the eye of the beholder. You can oppose development you don't like, people can call you NIMBY for it.

Myself, I'm very opposed to urban highways. I don't care if people call me NIMBY for it. Joke's on them, I don't want them built in *anybody's* backyard.
December 22, 2025 at 9:48 AM
They can indirectly. If you succeed in blocking a new building in your neighborhood, that often means it is built somewhere else. Out of sight, out of mind.
December 22, 2025 at 2:52 AM
Still, I have to nitpick your tl;dr. If people are willing to pay millions, there obviously is demand. But in this case, that demand not being met is something I can live with.
December 22, 2025 at 2:41 AM
Ah, okay. If we're just talking about not building in environmentally sensitive areas, then we agree. In fact I would say that's not very YIMBY. The whole idea should be to build mainly where people already live.
December 22, 2025 at 2:36 AM
That's great. But, where and how many will be built? The only places that are close to opportunity, do not degrade local environment and do not inconvenience anyone are well situated brownfields. I don't think it's safe to assume there are enough of them to meet demand.
December 21, 2025 at 8:41 PM
But often they only care about local environment for *their* children is the thing.
December 21, 2025 at 6:18 PM
Could be. But that only gets you so far. People in places of opportunity have little incentive to allow more housing. They already got theirs. In the end you have to step on some toes if you want to live in a country where people can move to a better life.
December 21, 2025 at 1:55 PM
"long term social rental" is not immune to zoning restrictions, NIMBY opposition or local environmental tradeoffs
December 21, 2025 at 1:02 PM
I believe that is called "pulling up the ladder behind them"
December 21, 2025 at 12:53 PM

I'm just laughing that they used "We're still early" unironically.

So, a company that had ~$1B of revenue (not profit) in 2024 ordered $21B worth of hardware in 2025H2. Cool.

Given the administration's hard on against Venezuela, my bet is CoD: Ghosts.
