It is amazing that I can be contacted by someone typing in Russian about some of my theology work and then I can respond in Russian using AI translation. I think his comment was about my work, but it could’ve been about how to treat constipation. 💩

I was honored to be an chapter author in this new book that discusses ways to renew Christian faith without the baggage of today’s nonsense issues. Some of you may know that I am interested in teaching religious people that science done well is gift from God. #theology #science

Pretty sunset tonight in SLC. You can see the sun setting with a reflection on the Great Salt Lake. A desert monsoon is forming in the clouds above. The “mist” in between is smoke from the forest fires around here.

At a #theology workshop (ORTCON25) for the next few days. I plan to be taking in plenty of views of the Grand Tetons while here.

Reading “The Evidence Liberal Arts Needs” by R. Detweiler. Good read. Substitute “putting out published works” with “seeing patients to generate revenue” and current academic medicine is encapsulated in a nutshell.

I had a wonderful time last week in Denver, Colorado catching up with other pediatric GI faculty (some I have known for over 2 decades) while teaching pediatric gastroenterologists-in-training from Mexico, the United States, and Canada. The future of our field is bright! #medicine #gastroenterology

Just received this from the Center for Process Studies. Dr. Cobb was a legend in theology. I was able to talk to him once during a Zoom lecture. #theology

I try very hard to practice evidence-based medicine, and these headlines are discouraging.
