3/5 As part of the Dublin Honours Magdalenes event in 2018, President Higgins hosted a gathering of 230 Magdalene survivors with a garden party and Presidential address at Áras an Úachtaráin.

2/5 As a TD, President Higgins advised JFM to submit an application to the Irish Human Rights Commission, recognising that Magdalene Laundries abuses were a human rights issue. This advice would prove crucial to our efforts.
