It made us also wonder: when does trying to show ‘both sides’ help and when does it harm? Is it all about weight-of-evidence reporting?

Emotions work i think. Positive or negative? I feel like it’s often doom and gloom and not necessarily hopeful messages/emotions?

Ich denke die nächsten Jahre werden schon von der Nachfrageseite her zeigen dass der Verbrenner langsam ausläuft. Kaufpreise plus ‘Spritkosten’ über die Lebenszeit sind beim E-Auto jetzt schon günstiger

I agree that right now it’s maybe not that big but isn’t the already planned rise in data centres, their fossil fuel lock in, and the expected usage for AI changing that view quite a bit? and it’s not that far in the future? Fully agree with your ‘brain pollution’ point

I think it makes sense! Interesting to see the graph. But one should never underestimate the effects of a good (repeat: good!) office environment on mental health. I'd rather have a fully green electrified, well-functioning public transport system than not meeting my colleagues in the office.

Fully agree! Good summary - thx!

I just wrote how the problems you describe lead to a distorted approach by corporations to climate action: (i) "reducing first" is neglected in favour of offsetting, (ii) offsetting or a bet on carbon capture is used to emit more now
