How about pictures of beautiful sunrises in the Peak District? Whole of UK been shrouded in fog for a few days. No doubt a metaphor.

As with many things, covid accelerated a process. I just think there is a lot more to it than social media. Few kids look forward to the future.
My daughter (15) has overdosed twice already, and both sons have struggles. Worries just seem piled onto them - climate, hatred in society of others.

It's not just the smart phone use. Impact of covid - online lessons, lack of contact was a major factor. Saw it for many kids.
Not saying lockdown wasn't right - but Governments then just carried on as if nothing happened and zero actions to take account of the impact. CAMHS services overwhelmed.
