I think that most responses intentionally misinterpreted the point of the question. The question leads to other concerns such as the viability of our government system and the fact that a large portion, perhaps most voters would vote for this again.

I disagree that most people are happy with it, out of a lack of a viable option we settle for it. The insurance industry makes out very well with supplemental coverage that is too expensive for a lot of seniors. The cost of healthcare is obfuscated for a reason.

Designing a system that is functional and has checks and balances to curb extremism and gets care to everyone is a daunting task. How can we trust politicians to make it independent from them?

Using the excuse of getting rid of violent criminals, but in fact targeting the people who do make America what it is has repercussions that all of us will pay for a long time. A mix of racism and grandstanding creating a boiling devided society that will overlook the rest of the issues.
