This is the purpose of the libhxcfe :

But when you develop something on a small MCU, you can't just support all of these file formats : More than 100 formats supported by the library. This just can't fit into a Gotek / HxC MCU...

IMHO Oric DSK formats should have been abandoned decades ago. IMD is effectively a better alternative.
There is a lot more than "15 standards". In fact there are more than 100 formats. Every machine has their file formats... A total pure non sense !

just remove the lines 61<>64 from HxCFloppyEmulator_software/build/Makefile. this is related to pulseaudio, you don't need this.

No, it doesn't need flatpak. just build the native version :

You can use S900 images (DD) with S950 machines. This is at least the case with the gotek HxC firmware and SD HxC Floppy Emulators...
