Not confused - I just don't know your source where it is controlled by the "working class." It, at least in Europe where it has power, advocates for the collective ownership/control of the means of production +the fair, equitable distribution of the wealth generated to all members of society.

Socialism, I would say, is defined where the means of production or service are owned by the collective rather than private individuals. A credit union could be a socialist, even a non profit group, or employee ownership of their company. I think Intel is right now as the government controls it.

In Los Angeles, LADWP is a city enterprise. The banks insurance and financing has been bailed out by the government, so a de facto socialist state.

He signed a law in 9/23 requiring all CA K-12 schools to provide all-gender restrooms for students. It was intended to protect LGBTQ+ students from discrimination. He will get attacked because of this. Reality is teenage boys and girls don't go to the same bathroom so does not work.
