I love having fun with people as individuals but at the same time I have a strong aversion to the concept of fandoms and their abstract rules.

So I'm not comfortable in quoting accounts that I don't know, like I did in the past for tavqotd, I have this bad feeling that I'm invading their space.

Only posting this here because I play BG3 and other D&D games, but this doesn't make me part of their fandoms.

I mean. People know I think Shadowheart is a boring ass character that looks exactly like any The Witcher 3 girl, and Emp is at least a good villain, but he is a Villain, the bad guy, people like it or not.

But I'm not going to say that on the accounts of fans of these characters.

We're adults having fun with a videogame, chatting and sharing stuff.

But then everything sounded so serious when I did a fraction of what they do everyday. Everything became kinda off after that.

I was like: "Wait... What did I do wrong? "

Today I know what was wrong.
'Me existing in that space'

The art I posted was way strip down considering the explicit ones they shared, but on my time, I became the problem. I'm not even touching the Tumblr long-response story again, that was worse, but that worked to see that I don't want to be part of this.

The difference: I don't like the characters they like, and like the ones they hate, but how dare I "said" that. Look, I'm not talking about right and wrong, I'm talking about stupid rules that exist in fandom space. They only accept if you like exactly what they like or at least keep the head down.

Previous mutuals shared a bunch of gore art of my fav characters, I kept doing my thing because everyone does what they want and I was fine back then.
Days later, I post an art on my account, my tav after killing the villain of the game (Emp) and those mutuals were like "Fuck you! You're blocked!"
