I, too, have vehemently opposed Trump since 2015 for the same reasons that I considered myself myself a Christian and a conservative. I have moved to the left some, but still think Christianity is inconsistent with Trump and the MAGA movement.

Exactly. They remain, generally, on the fringe of the Democrats where as the extremists are the GOP. I appreciate you and Patrick and others who have remained consistent and called out the GOP/MAGA for what it is.

MAGA are the radicals of the French Revolution that want to tear down institutions without any thought for why the institutions exist in the first place.

Done. I participated in the double blind Jansen study back in 2021. These vaccines have all been thoroughly studied. Those still on the market are safe and we should have access.

I think with federal officers like ICE, it is even harder. The deck is stacked against anyone making a claim against law enforcement. That’s doesn’t mean it isn’t worth it. It is. But it isn’t a way to get rich. Also, jurors are pretty deferential to law enforcement.

Law enforcement officers typically don’t have much in the way of assets. In places like Chicago, the city will pay, but in Texas, they can’t/won’t, so you hav to get a judgment against the city that employs the officer, which is even harder because you have to show a pattern or practice.

There really isn’t a great deal of money to be made suing law enforcement, especially in the South. Qualifies Immunity makes it very difficult to get a judgment against law enforcement. And then, to recover actual money, you have to get a judgment against someone who has money you can collect.
