This song was inspired by the display window of an Adult Bookshop in NYC where, among the "big boob" books and sex toys, there was a single copy of a craft magazine called Soft Dolls & Animals. I always wondered if it was an accident, or if someone had a strange perverse sense of humor.

Today I played the newly-reissued Underwater Moonlight by The Soft Boys. It’s a “all-time top 10” album for me! Sounds great and replaces my old beat up copy from the early 80s. It even has the “right” version of “Old Pervert”. Thanks robynhitchcock.bluesky.social & emmaswiftsings.bluesky.social
