I agree, I enjoy it as a sci-fi show but It screams of the American based writers room style for me. "Let's follow the audience numbers for plot and character development"

This mirrors exactly what a friend of mine said when he did jury service last year. He said the same, later starts, then lunch which they were always back late from and then adjourned at half 3! 5 days at court but barely 5 hours in it. Surely that needs sorting out
