A movie recommendation. CUTTER'S WAY (AKA CUTTER AND BONE) (1981) is my favourite neo-noir, a furiously bitter portrait of three completely broken people who stumble into a murder mystery and turn it into a hopeless crusade. It's tragic and whip-smart and mean, and i love it.

As kid I was sorta quick to give up on things. I sucked at certain video games but instead of just not playing them, I replayed the whole game up until the point where I couldn’t get any further and after trying again a few times I’d just stop and reset again.

Finally got around to finishing this. This is Pik Lee! He’s a level 4 Goblin bard, he used to be part of the circus, then it burned down, so now he’s joined some weirdos who are on a quest to find some magic rock.

I think it’s honestly really funny to declare your character the “ultimate life form”. It’s such playground energy, but so many different series do it that there’s a weirdly long list of “ultimate life forms”
