Even when rejected, it's nice to know that somebody read what you wrote. You made a thing and showed it to someone else. That's really what this is all about.

If you want to be discovered, you have to be visible. Make people listen. Be confident enough in your work to put it on the market. And when it's rejected, send it elsewhere. Keep writing through it all. #rejectionpoetry #writing #amwriting #writinglife #writemotivation

Looking through these old rejections, I'm surprised by how often the editors encouraged me to submit again. When I read the messages the first time, I didn't register the invitation, only the rejection. #rejectionpoetry #writing #amwriting #writinglife #writemotivation

Send your work far and wide. When you get an acceptance, you'll remember why you went through all of this. #rejectionpoetry #writing #amwriting #writinglife #writemotivation

Most rejections contain an opportunity for the future, too.

Sometimes the editor makes it easy to find inspiration in rejection.

Even when the rejection letter doesn't leave much to work with, there's something.

First full manuscript rejection. Took a few days before I was ready to do this one.

An important part of being a creative is learning to handle rejection. I like reframe it by making inspirational messages from my rejection letters. #writinglife #AmWriting #WriteMotivation #rejectionpoetry

Morning ritual: Get up, give her a treat, take meds. This morning I woke up late and forgot. She followed me all over yowling until I realized I'd skipped her treat and therefore my meds. Accidentally trained her to remind me to take my meds.

One of my big goals for my #writinglife is improve my health. Sitting at a computer all day at work and all night writing has taken a toll. Here a shot of Great River Bridge poking up through the trees from my walk tonight.

I've seen people make blackout poems out of job rejections, so I started making motivational messages out of my short story rejections.

This is Maggie. She saw this tree blossoming into its true colors and thought of you. 13/10

Did we buy her a bed? Yes. Has she ever used it? No. Then again, I'm pretty sure she legally owns the house at this point and just lets us stay here in exchange for our services. Probably shouldn't complain.

Anybody with experience using Lulu or Bookvault? Looking to get some real world feedback on both.
