Helping people should be regardless of their political views. Everyone is made in the image of God so everyone has value. As for climate change, I’ll put it this way. God made this world so we should take care of it. The question becomes the manner to how which becomes the debates about it.

Matthew 22:37-40. I think that “love your neighbor” is a twofold process. Pray for them, because that’s powerful, and then show them love by directly helping where you can. If you can provide a safe place or provide supplies or comfort, in addition to prayer is showing God’s love

Good questions. First, I’m not say just pray and not help if it is within your power. If you’re in the area, directly help in any way. Get people out, warn them, give them shelter etc. From afar, we can help by donating what we can to help restore what was lost once the means of doing so are there.
