I agree, it feels weird when someone adds you just to sell a commission. But I also get that many artists are struggling and sometimes reach out out of desperation still, it’s not the right way to approach people.

I’ve never commissioned anyone myself but honestly I don’t think it feels weird. If an artist is posting that they need commissions, it just means they really need the support. Getting a commission from them helps their situation, it doesn’t exploit them.
