True fact: The first verse of The Philosophers song is almost precisely 25 seconds.
Which at the beginning of the pandemic was how long you were supposed to wash your hands. Sang that song many-a-time back then.

I swear that if we ever (God forbid) have a nuclear detonation near a large populated area, people are going to be mystified that it isn't accompanied by a large orchestra playing a dark string musical.

Reminds me of "Caddyshack 2", where Jackie Mason describes a guy as a "fonzanune" (sp?), "Someone who farts in the bathtub & bites the bubbles".

I've been in 45 of the 50 states. Every single one is beautiful. (Yes, I'm also looking at *you*, Kansas!)

Cannot find my notes from that class. They may still be in a box somewhere in the attic. I found my Purdue transcripts, stating I passed HIST 376 ("History of Indiana") with an "A" in Spring 1989. I've e-mailed the current instructor asking if he knows who taught that class then. Will report back.

Ah! I *do* remember "God Bless You, Mr Rosewater". And since you came a few years after me, he may have adjusted his syllabus.
Or we did have different instructors. 🤷‍♂️
