weird people fall in love with each other all the time
1st panel: A dismal, awkwardly warmly lit hotel / convention center panel room like what you would see in the 90s or 2000s. A pink rabbit fursuiter holding a build-a-bear wolf, having waited in the corner, waves to an approaching blueberry wolf fursuiter. Lanyards of past conventions and their years are on a corkboard. --- Original art piece idea by @mIdrux on Twitter, but I and others were disappointed they drew it with mean-spirited intentions.. even calling the kidfur character a "diddyblud" (yes. verbatim) and getting wrapped up in "proship discourse." I thought the message was too human to let it be diluted + overshadowed by typical online whataboutisms and wanted to redo + reclaim it with more touches of the furry fandom, esp being a furry myself. It's love. For some, the love of your life is in the corner of a boring furcon panel room -- even if they don't have the same "interests," it's care that bridges the gap.
