It would be… fabulous if you could compliment your DOGE interview with an interview with someone on the other side, a civil servant who has technical expertise in the areas you’re interested in? It was a wildly credulous interview. Hurtful to those of us who’ve been on the other side of the table.

Hi! I don’t know if Stat is already doing this, but creating a single landing page with clear infographics and narratives highlighting the mistakes and failures that result from mass firings and federal workforce fear would be REALLY high impact. You have great sources - get their stories daily!!

IT’S NOT A BUYOUT! This is ridiculous. It is keeping your job for 8 months without fear of being fired. Your duties may be reassigned but they may not. Be honest and don’t mislead workers!

Calling it a buyout is really misleading and confusing to federal employees. It is not a buyout. It is safety from being fired for 8 months.

I mean there’s lots of folks who are scared and hoping they can keep going doing work the best they can within set parameters, organizing and preparing to participate in an election in 2 years that can hopefully turn some kind of tide.

The idea that employees with disabilities and families they support with health insurance and salary are rolling over and showing their bellies is demeaning to the career public servants who are going to wait and see where this goes… might not be what you meant but 🤷‍♀️

It’s very different this time - approach is to root out anyone trying to circumvent. Seriously more dangerous.
