Just to add - Tennessee & several other surrounding states had historical & fatal flooding just a couple of weeks ago that DT took forever to approve funding for. Don’t let him sweep these disasters under the rug bc it doesn’t fit him politically

There’s a huge system coming in that will land around Tuesday. It’ll hit the Mississippi valley, Arkansas, the Boothill of Missouri, and Oklahoma the hardest. They have been calling it a historical storm. With FEMA being attacked & now NOAA, this could be a major disaster waiting to happen

I don’t disagree. I think that should be the ultimate goal but I think we need a full blown cultural shift in Congress before it becomes a realisitc option.

How would we go about doing this?

I think maybe because getting the government to implement universal healthcare has been impossible. I’d imagine with unions, there’d be more agency and less reliance on government officials to get it done. Not that universal healthcare shouldn’t ever be an option, but that this is the next step.
