I STG they'll put anything on Disney+ except the Aladdin TV series to spite me specifically.
I do think specialty/luxary theaters are kinda their own beast. I have an expensive chain with basic stadium seating or the local non-chain that is cheaper but far away and always vaguely smells like urine.

Plus ticket and concessions prices have skyrocketed. Am I willing to drop 30 bucks to see Wicked, for example, sure! Am I willing to do that for "random indie that will be on streaming in a few months." Probably not, unless I'm really excited about the plot or the cast. And def not every week.

Fair enough. I do think regardless of the mechanics behind it, it was a massive misreading of the moment, and I'm mad about it. Seeing posts from people who are like "I was okay suffering during the shutdown when it was FOR something, but now it was all meaningless," sucks.

I'm not sure either way. Dems have used the "rotating villain" strategy before and Durbin is supposed to be Schumer's fucking Whip. If Schumer wasn't on-board, the fact that he didn't have the pull and/or will to stop it is almost as disqualifying to me. So I'm Team Primaries Til Dems Stop Sucking.

Absolutely not. Schumer either endorsed this or was unable to stop it. If Durbin is not removed as Whip immediately, there's the answer. Sorry but Dems in the Senate are now on a collective responsibility model and I'll be supporting primary challengers across the board for at least the next decade.

Lets all promise to go to every one of their stupid book tours and nod very seriously when they talk b/c we're impressed with how smart they are and give them gold star stickers if they just fucking retire and get out of the way. (If they can trust Republican promises, then they should trust ours.)
