Creating communities based in love when hate is such a prevalent force is one way to take a stand. I will always have my metaphorical door open. You are always welcome to make a home where I am—to take a moment to relax and joke and breathe.

Regardless of the size of my platform, it’s wrong not to speak out. What’s occurring in LA is dystopian. I’m a patriot. The echo of “liberty and justice FOR ALL” is etched into my bones. Patriotism isn’t blindly following a leader, it’s loving your country enough to stand against authoritarianism.

Wherever I go, whatever community I create—online or irl—will be a safe haven for all who have been under attack during this administration. It has been, and ALWAYS WILL BE, a space for members of the queer community, WOMEN, BIPOC, neurodiverse peeps, trans folks, and any marginalized groups.
