I definitely don't think that a person that isn't a Democrat should expect to be the nominee for Democrats. That candidate only opting to wear the label to exploit the institution and its base, then immediately getting rid of it when he loses, is absurd.

Well we did not get the candidate that was voted for in the primary, so we will actually never know what would have happened if the candidate that did beat him last time went up against him again. We can guess and talk about polling (which hasn't been as predictive it had been in the past).

Also the article clearly acknowledges that the individual policies seem popular but when put in the aggregate, for some reason voters don't seem to support it as strongly.
December 13, 2024 at 11:35 PM
I think the crux of the article is the exact opposite. Rather than assume people that are choosing to be Republican and Trump supporters are reacting to Democrats or leftist policies, to accept that Republicans are choosing to align themselves to him intentionally and are voting their actual values.

Maybe world leaders now think that if they can make him feel accepted and important, then they can maybe get him on their side.

Was it 70% hispanic in those prior elections?
December 6, 2024 at 12:49 AM
Absolutely. Its crazy how much tax revenue was generated in the last year from rich people who completely failed to even file taxes.

I'm hoping he gets primaried in 2026, so its a No for me.

👎🏾

This appeals to a certain type of potential Dem voter and I would bet is off-putting to certain types of Dem voters (black women). But I think the assumption is that it doesn't matter if a major group of Dem voters is turned off because they are expected to fall in line no matter what.

That shit must have worked, because WTF, people loved when he joined up with Donald.
November 26, 2024 at 5:20 PM
You have explained despite it being illegal and unenforceable via executive order that you want it anyway. I am not declaring any limits. Donald has to sign the agreements. He does not have to do that now. They are not nominees until he makes it official.
November 26, 2024 at 4:53 PM
Its like you didn't read the original skeet just so that you can argue that you too want crime. You hate the crime of the Republicans but are really itching for some crime from Democrats.
November 26, 2024 at 4:47 PM
Lol you want a blue maga so bad that you refuse to do anything helpful. What a joke
November 26, 2024 at 4:43 PM
Why not try to get some Republican house members to support the Dem bill? Or for Johnson to even bring the bill to the floor??
November 26, 2024 at 4:41 PM
He literally doesn't. Incoming presidents have to sign an agreement formalizing the request.
November 26, 2024 at 4:38 PM
I mean you wouldn't be the only one to enjoy the entertainment and news cycles. He has literally not signed the documents that allow for said screenings. Dem Senators are trying to codify a bill to require the screenings
November 26, 2024 at 4:37 PM
He actually submits for Senate. Truth social posts don't count, despite it kicking off news cycles and op eds to make those people money.
November 26, 2024 at 4:33 PM
You're the one complying in advance! Go work on the Senators. In your imagination you think Biden demanding an FBI investigation on these people will force Republican Senators to use said information after Jan 20. The people are subject to change according to the mood and whimsy of Trump until he
November 26, 2024 at 4:33 PM
You still imagine there is some separate right Biden has over Republican Senators. That he can force them to use the info and that he has a legal right to demand it of the FBI. You wanting him to preemptively perform background checks of people that havent been formally nominated is your prerogative
November 26, 2024 at 4:26 PM
The OP is saying to voters don't be a passive bitch and go work to influence your Senators and you revert to whining. It isn't helpful because he should focus on things he actually has the enforceable right to do.
November 26, 2024 at 4:23 PM
He can, the outgoing president can't interfere with the incoming President. The President also can't force a separate branch of government to do anything (ie use the FBI reports). Executive orders are subject to litigation. While he has announced them, they aren't even formal until he's President.
